Before initiating the transfer it is important to make sure that the contact information for your domain is up to date. It is especially important that your email contacts are correct, as all correspondance will be done via email. To see your contacts simply go to our Whois Search and type in the domain name you wish to transfer.

If your contact email addresses are not current you will need to update them at your current registrar before initiating the transfer. After you update the email addresses you should wait at least 24 hours before submitting the transfer.

1. To submit your transfer simply go to Begin Transfer and type in the domain name you wish to transfer. Please fill out the form on the folowing page.

2. Please expect to receive one email confirmation from your former registrar and one email confirmation sent by Namesonic.com. They will both be sent to the domain registrant’s email address.

3. For the email confirmation sent by Namesonic simply click on the link provided in the email and you will be taken to a separate webpage. Click accept to proceed with the transfer.
For the email sent by your former registrar open the email that they have sent you and follow their directions. Their directions will usually involve clicking a link in the email which will take you to their approval site. You can then complete their directions to transfer your domain name.

4. Your domain transfer will be completed in 2-3 days. After the transfer is complete you will be able to enjoy much lower pricing and higher levels of customer service.
